Radiographs - DP

I finally got the DP radiographs from the vet today.

The image of her right hoof.
Image of her left hoof.
You can see that the right hoof looks pretty good, but she is definitely loading the medial side of the left hoof. It doesn't look to be an issue of conformation, which is what I was afraid of, so I'm happy about that. I'll be anxious to see what my trimmer thinks about the radiographs.

  1. Glad things are going well. I hope your trimmer can fix the loading problem without too much difficulty. It's interesting to see the two images.

  2. Very interesting! Did your vet give any trimming advise? Dr. Gary sometimes writes shoeing/trimming perscriptions for his clients.

  3. Carol, thank you! I'm really excited for the trimmer tomorrow because she's seen all these x-rays. I'm anxious to see what she has to say.

Terry, the vet I used for the x-rays also uses my trimmer for her horses, so she didn't make any suggestions to me. I believe they put their heads together and I'll find out the result tomorrow when the trimmer comes to do Lilly. I'm so excited!
