Happy birthday, Rylee! What a big handsome boy!You will appreciate this - I am making cat food. My old cat has hyperthyroidism, and can't have anything with iodine. I am buying chicken at the health food store and grinding it up for him. It must be from the health food store because regular commercial growers use iodine for an antibiotic. So here I am, making cat food out of chicken, and I'm a vegetarian!
Oh the things we do for our pets! I've switched my kitty over to Honest Kitchen because she was having some issues with her grain free food. Are you just griding up the chicken pieces with a meat grinder? I was tossing around the idea of raw for my kitty too, but I'm not sure how to get bone in her diet.
Oh Rylee, please forgive me! I meant what a big beautiful girl you are!
It's okay... it happens all the time. My mom told me I need to buy her a pink collar. LOL
Me again. I'm using a food processor for the chicken. He also gets a prescription dry food, formulated for hyperthyroid kitties. They make a canned food too, but I just could not get him to eat it, thus the chicken. We're about a month in, and he's put on half a pound. Thank goodness. It was looking pretty grim for a while.
